The Art of Movement and some of its applications This system of movement analysis was created by the Hungarian movement researcher and artist Rudolph Laban - , and was introduced in Brazil during WWII by his fellow countrywoman Maria Duchennes, with whom I had the privilege to study for five years.
It allows the description, recording, and analysis of the physical, spatial, and dynamic features of movement, so that through their observation new possibilities of action can be suggested.
In its version called The Art of Movement, this system can be applied to a number of different situations. Below, we shall list some that are more meaningful to the aims of this article.
